"His unchanging plan has always been to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. And this gave Him great pleasure."
Ephesians 1:5
As we begin to proceed with the Adoption process we continue to trust that God will lead us through each part of this process. We were both prepared for the journey but never realized there was so much involved in just "starting" the process. We received our preliminary application via e-mail the other day. It had the application with of course your personal information along with two attached documents that were "Statements of Faith". Reading through the questions they seemed pretty easy at the time, but once we started contemplating over each question we saw God working through us both. We sat in bed with the laptop just talking and typing as God put things on our hearts. I could not believe how much conversation came out of what seemed to be such easy questions. However, the trick to the statements of faith was that we each had to answer the questions individually. Every time we came up with an idea the other person chimed in saying that's what I was going to say...needless to say we only answered 2 our of 6 questions so far. The following day we received another package this time by mail with documents to sign & read over about rules & regulations along with paperwork for fingerprints & background checks...
All in all we have had a pretty good start to this process. We are not sure when we will actually submit the paperwork but at this time are goal is to have everything ready to go at the end of March for our homestudy and then to be put onto the waiting list, from there we have no idea how long this process could be.
Please continue to pray this preliminary application process we go something & fingerprints/background checks can be done in a timely matter.

The cool thing is that when you invest in dialogue like that, I think you grow through the process rather than just go through the process. Can't wait to hear how God works in your lives!
