We are so excited to say that we have finally finished our Preliminary Application for this Adoption process...this means basic information such as DOB, address, full name, church, employment, etc...along with signature after signature of privacy notices, followed by our fingerprints heading to the FBI. Let me tell you that was interesting getting fingerprints done...I have never experienced that before. Last Saturday we headed down to the Sumas Police Department to have our fingerprints done. They actually still use the "old school" procedure of putting ink on a clear plastic like thing and rolling the ink onto it. Then the officer tells you just relax (that is kind of hard to do) and your prints will come out better. Anyway the following pictures show are envelopes ready to mail off to the FBI for background check & other documents to Bethany Christian for approval.
We just ask that you keep us both in your prayers throughout the weeks to come as we now begin Adoption Orientation & training followed by our Formal Application along with our Home Study Paperwork. It seems overwhelming at times but we are so thankful to everyone for all the support & love.

Yay!!! The PD here has the electronic printing...but I hear sometimes it can be to your disadvantage (life if you are sweaty your prints can smear). But, its also easier to redo them if they smudge. Kinda fun and wierd all at the same time, huh? Hope you get yours back sooner than we did!
