So Brandon & I received the word yesterday that our Formal Application (yes this is the second application) is APPROVED. We are so excited..next step "Home Study Paperwork". And when I say paperwork I mean paperwork...we have everything to do from signatures to medical exams, answering an array of questions and getting references. We definitely have our work cut out for us, but are completely excited that God is allowing this process to be so smooth (smoother than we thought it might be). Take a look at my stack that came in the mail today...
Side Note:
On Sunday we were invited to attend Sonlight's Church service which was centered around adopted children & famalies. Six adopted kids from all around the world were either baptized or dedicated and each family told a story of their journey. This was a tear inducing service for everyone involved and listening...we were especially touched to see that the process in the end is well worth it and all in God's timing. At the end of the service one of the adoptive mom's told why a certain song got her through her days while in Ethiopia waiting to bring her angel home. The words truly had an impact on us and now have made this our "motto" for our adoption process:
"He is able, more than able to accomplish what concerns me today.
He is able, more than able to handle anything that comes my way.
He is able, more than able to do much more than I could ever dream,
He is able, more than able, to make me what He wants me to be."
