Rejoicing...It's All In God's Timing

As our home study process is coming to close (thank goodness) we are starting to reflect on how everything so far has been in God's timing and will continue to be...right now we are rejoicing in the fact that we are just one step away from being on the "waiting list" & being approve, but also knowing that this next chapter in the adoption process is going to be challenging. We are giving thanks to God that this process has been easier and faster so far than we could even imagine, but the waiting game is going to be another thing in itself.
We have now made this song that you hear playing on our blog the prayer for the rest of our adoption process..."He is the Everlasting God & we will wait upon the Lord". We ask that this might be your prayer as we continue through this process. And for all of you who are wondering what the next step is let us explain:
* Approval from Bethany Christian Services that we are now on the waiting list...by end of June!!
* Once approved we basically have to sit & wait...literally we could get a call at any moment that a mom is in labor and has choosen us or we could get a call that says a mom is so many months pregnant & she has choosen us. Literally the phone could ring at any moment...
* After we are choosen and the baby is born the mom legally has 48 hours for the birthtime to sign the legal documents necessary to waive all her legal rights. This means even if she is 100% sure after the birth & wants to sign them then it is not legal until court 48 hours later.
This is a very hard concept for us to grasp...that after we even travel there, witness the birth (most likely) & even hold our newest addition (possibly) we could still have to hand the baby back...Tears are coming to my eyes as I even write about this...this is the one thing that weighs heavy on our hearts on a daily basis...but God is GOOD & it is completely in his hands...he can move mountains!!!

* Also let me know what you think of the new blog look...*

Yay for being one step closer! I was in anticipation that the waiting game would be brutal. But honestly I kind of feel like this weight has been lifted. Of course we kind of have a timeframe so that might be part of it.
Oh, and I love your new look!
