As you know this is a The Mulder Family/Adoption Blog that we post updates of our adoption journey on for all of our encouragers & supporters to follow. But right now we thought we would use our blog to tell you about one of Brandon's relatives who is fighting a battle with cancer. His name is Jensen & he I believe is only 5 years old. Jensen was diagnosed with cancer (specific term astrocytoma) meaning tumor in his spinal cord when he was only 3 years old. This has been an up & down journey for Jensen's family for the last two years. That being said they have now relocated the family in Houston, Texas to proceed with Proton Therapy. If you don't know Cash Parriera was down in Texas with his family earlier this year also doing Proton therapy but for another type of cancer. Basically, right now Jensen's family is unsure if the insurance company will let them proceed with this therapy treatment or with traditional radiation. Whatever happens they know that God is in control.
We ask that you say a special prayer for Jensen & his family that the insurance company will approve them for this therapy and that their stay in Houston will be filled with joy & peace. Also say a prayer for Cash too - it is still unknown what the next step of his journey is too!!!
I tell you this just isn't fair...why should kids of all people have to deal with cancer. What have they done in their short little lives to deserve this...although we will never know the answer ultimately God is in control and has a plan. Sometimes the reasons aren't easy to figure out as we all know...
