So our prayers before departure are actually going to end up being more than we planned...we are not leaving until Friday morning now. Brandon's sister's state volleyball game is actually not until 3:30 on Friday so we cannot stay to watch anyway...decided to drive the WHOLE 9 1/2 hours in one day!! Anyway, our prayer for today is acceptance...acceptance for a lot of reasons...one being acceptance for our child when they return home (if this is the child God has chosen for our family)...acceptance for the birthmother with her choice for choosing adoption...again if that is what is ultimately chooses.
Please pray for acceptance for this unborn child. Pray that as this child may come into our family that they will be accepted regardless of if they are "true" blood or not. Pray that they will feel welcomed and loved by everyone that is a part of our family's life. Please pray for the birthmother's acceptance as well...if she chooses adoption please pray that anyone she is close to will accept her decision and support her in everyway possible. Please pray...

As you complete this adoption (praying!) and start raising baby, you could start to compile these and other prayers and write a book to help other couples look to God during the adoption process! Just a thought. :)
Kari, you are just amazing. My prayers are with both of you and the birthmother and her family as well.
