Last night on Fox we watched a movie presented by Wal-Mart and P&G for a family movie night event...we are sure glad we did. This movie has a lot to do with adoption...a young married couple (one a singer & one a pilot) all the sudden receives a call from Child & Protection Services stating that her best friend & husband where killed in an accident and she left them in her will to take care of her four kids...oldest daughter (16) biological, adopted son from Guatamala (15), adopted son from Uganda (12) and youngest adopted daughter from China (5). The story walks through how they originally had there lives all figured out and then in an instant everything changed. This movie is truly inspirational and everyone should watch it!!! I think you can only buy it from Wal-mart but they said last night it was $13.96...Anyway, after this movie we sat looking at each other not even knowing what to say but knowing exactly what the other person was thinking. Although God directed our lives in adoption he doesn't direct everyone's but this movie shows that he always has the last word. It made us think about how each person goes through life thinking and knowing what they are going to do or achieve but in an instant God has the power to change everything. Sometimes we don't know what God has planned for our future but if we trust in Him there is nothing that we cannot conquer and overcome. We are so proud & excited that God has chosen us to start our family through adoption...we knew that once we had two biological children that adoption might be an avenue we would take for our 3rd child, but we never expected adoption to be how we would completely build our family. Although we were not ready at the time for our plans to change we took a deep breath, embraced this opportunity that God has given us and grown immensely through it. Sometimes we don't always appreciate what we are given or the journey that God has given us but if we would work together and go along with whatever plans he has made for our lives we will always succeed. We hope that everyone embraces the opportunities they have been given both good, bad, exciting or nerve-wracking and just move forward knowing that God is in complete control of whatever happens. Without him adoption or life would not be possible...remember everything you have and do comes from Him.

We were kinda laughing at the acting a little bit, but we did love the story. Love your guys' hearts and so excited to see/meet little Westyn!
I will have to watch that movie. I have never heard of it, but it sure sounds interesting. God's plan always surprises and is always always better than what we have 'planned', isn't it??
