We have officially been at our home for a little over a week now and things seem to be going as well as can be expected. Brandon is figuring out how to accomplish many tasks on his own or he continues to ask for ways to be able to do these things on his own. He has continued with Occupational Therapy which is helping to desensitize his right arm along with gaining strength in his left hand and arm. Brandon is officially also off pain killer and just taking Tylenol with coating which means he can also drive now. Although he is doing really well with driving he keeps telling me it seems scary with only one hand being in control...I know he will catch on. We also got a call from the Prosthetic office in Bellingham and we will be starting with what they call a preparatory prosthesis on Monday...this is a lot sooner than we expected. This means that they are going to give him an already made one and see how it goes while we wait for the swelling in his arm to continue to decrease. They do not want to mold a plastic prosthesis until the shrink wrap has worked and all swelling is done. Brandon's phantom pain is still there too but he seems to be learning how to "deal" with it. He continues to work on mirror therapy which is supposed to help with phantom pains and he is also taking a nerve medication which should start working hopefully soon. Brandon seems to be handling things emotionally as well as can be expected too. He is finding it harder to be out in public because people tend to stare but he knows that people are just curious too especially if they have never been effected by losing a limb, etc...Please continue to pray for strength as Brandon learns to deal with the daily tasks of life, as he continues to be in public and that his strength continues to grow. He so badly wants to be back at work and I know in due time he will. Thanks for your continued prayers and support it is so greatly appreciated!!!

Praying for Brandon! I am surety guys can't wait to have him back either.
This is all HUGE stuff to work through and we are praying for strength for all of you. May God grant Brandon the strength and peace to conquor such tasks...and for you to know how to be his major support!
Praying for him to have patience. A colleague has nothing below his elbow on his left arm, and though I don't know the circumstances or how long it's been, there are times when I see him doing things that I forget he only has one hand. Brandon will get there.
