So it's a day late but I am finally getting our 5th Wedding Anniversary post up on our blog (remember this is our family scrapbook...well once I print it:).
Yesterday Brandon & I celebrated our 5th Anniversary...we were honestly not only excited to hit the 5 year milestone (which I knew we would) but we were excited to just have an excuse for actually go out on a "date night". You see we didn't celebrate Valentine's Day, don't buy V-Day, Anniversary or birthday presents because we figured a date night our was most important.
We dropped Westyn off at 5:00 last night and headed to Scotty Brown's for dinner...we honestly don't do fancy or more expensive than Subway in our house most the time but this was a milestone and we had to celebrate. We had a fabulous dinner and just admired the restaurant itself, so modern & totally my taste in decor. We had a great time talking about everything that has happened in the last 5 years, the good, bad & some down right ugly things. We honestly could not believe everything that we have gone through together in the last 5 years (this last year being the most exhilarating & most trying year of our lives). After dinner we ran a few errands, which even included new jeans for our growing son...I know on your anniversary right?!?! Then we had about an hour before we said we would be home so we headed to my favorite place...Cold Stone...raspberry & strawberry cheesecake ice cream...yummo!!! We ended out night be picking Westyn up and just hanging out watching TV together at home. We honestly have been on the go so much lately that just chilling out at home was great.
I cannot believe that this picture was taken 5 years ago!! We have come along way in 5 years...grown closer together & God, bought our first house, got a "family" vehicle, endured a horrific accident (Brandon's awesome tough), became a family of 3 when Westyn joined our family & are currently in the process of adopting Baby Mulder #2...WOW!!!
