There has been a lot happening with our adoption journey lately...we have so much to be grateful for and thankful for...that includes all of you that have been praying for us and the birthmother. Our journey is far from over (actually parenthood will be a journey in itself) but we are thankful for everything that has happened so far.
Update...So we have officially booked our hotel and heading to Idaho in November. We are so excited to finally be able to meet the birthmother. We are meeting her along with her mom and dad and maybe sister for lunch after (get this) we attend church with her. She asked if we wanted to come to their church service and then meet the Pastor...WOW REALLY!!! This almost seems like the perfect scenerio...it is great to know that church is such a huge part of their family life!! Although we are little apprehensive about going we know God is calling us to travel there for a reason and it will be an experience we will never forgot. After we meet her (and probably go home) so will then make her "official" decision...although Rebecca from Bethany stated that she is NOT interested in looking at any other families and she said we could assume what her decision is/will be :) We pray that if this is the child that God has chosen for our family we embrace everything moment and if not we have met some wonderful people and a wonderful family in the meantime...we are truly going to be linked for life!!
Ok Ok...I know what you are all wanting to know...what is the gender of this baby...
Without further ado....
We are hoping and wishing for....
a healthy baby
a healthy birthmother
and for either a baby girl or boy to join our family...
Any guesses....you have a 50/50 shot...
We are please to announce...if this is the child God has chosen for our family...
Baby Mulder will be...
A BOY!!!
That's right we may have a son...WOW it all seems way to real now...we have been praying for this child everyday (along with the birthmother) and now we can pray for them by name...knowing that this is all in God's control!!!
Please continue to pray for us and the birthmother in this next leg of our journey...we are so excited about all the possibilities and know that this has forever changed us both...for the better of course :)
