Blessed Beyond Words...

We have delayed writing this post for a couple of days due to the fact that we are still in a little bit of shock. On Monday we started opening our mail and realized that there was an envelope from Show Hope. Show Hope is Steven Curtis Chapman's Adoption Foundation...if you don't know, Steven Curtis Chapman & his wife have welcomed children into their family through adoption. We applied for an adoption grant back in August and knew that this month they would be reviewing our application & would notify us by the end of January. We were very apprehensive about opening this envelope since we had been told we did not meet the grant requirements on two other grants that we applied for. We said a small prayer asking God to prepare us for whatever was in that letter. We opened the letter and low n' behold it said...

"On behalf of Show Hope and the donors who make our grants possible, we rejoice with your family as you step out in faith to experience the miracle of adoption. Thank you for allowing us to be a small part of your adoption process. We are pleased to inform you that you have been awarded an adoption assistance grant."

WOW really...we did not know what to do. I started jumping up & down, laughing hysterically and on the verge of crying. We knew that God put us on this adoption journey for a reason and all along he had a plan. Although we doubted in the beginning that we would financially be able to adopt we always deep down had faith that God would provide...and HE HAS!!! We need to praise God in the bad & good times and we are definitely doing that...we pray that you will rejoice with us as he continues to provide again and again in our adoption journey. This means we are one step closer to welcoming Westyn home and it now means we can enjoy our last few weeks and just rejoice in his goodness & grace.
