Happy 50th Birthday Mom!!!!

Yesterday (December 30th) was my Mom's 50th Birthday...we had so much fun putting a surprise birthday party together for her. As you all probably know already my family is HUGE Washington Huskies fans (thanks Kelsey) and the Holiday Bowl happen to be on last night the same time we scheduled the party. We actually had sent out save-the-date cards in August because we knew with the holidays places would be booked up...and to our surprise they scheduled the Holiday Bowl on her birthday. Oh well, we taped the game and watched it afterwards...THEY WON - GO HUSKIES...REVENGE IS SWEET!!! Anyway, back to the birthday party here are some pictures...

The cake...we were absolutely in love with this cake and it was so GOOD too!!! We actually wanted to get a cake made that looked like our invitations...we picked black, teal and then bright colored zebra paper. I found a local family that is trying to make funds towards their adoption and she makes gorgeous cakes as her fundraiser. I cannot wait to order some more cakes from her when we have our WELCOME HOME Adoption Party!!!
