Today was finally the day that we were able to leave Idaho...although very excited to go home we were also sad to say good-bye to Westyn's birth family. They love him very much and we know they will miss him but they stated over and over that they know we are going to be the best parents for Westyn and he will be loved. We said good-bye for now at about 1:30 this afternoon Idaho time and headed towards Ellensburg, Washington...we ended up finally getting here at around 7:30 tonight and are settling in for a good nights sleep. Although we were only supposed to have a 6 hour drive we figured out with a baby it takes a lot longer sometimes. We even got to stop in a small town in Oregon where we got our first experience with diaper blow-out...ok probably TMI but it was seriously funny not to mention lots of gagging involved :)...he is totally worth it!! Our plan is to get up in the morning and head out sometime before noon and make the 4 hour journey home...finally we will be home as a family of 3...words cannot express our shear excitement and our love for this little boy. It think it is starting to sink in that he is actually ours forever but we also know once we are home and get into our routine that things will seem a lot more real. We are also looking forward to our parents, siblings & grandparents getting to meet him this weekend. We know we will have a lot of visitors but why not I don't have to recover plus Brandon is taking Monday off too so we can spend the day together and get settled in. Life is going to be a lot different now but we know that God chose Westyn for our family for a reason and we are sure glad he did. Westyn is the cutest, sweetest, most precious little boy that we can seriously stare at all day, smile and laugh at...he is PERFECT!!! We will for sure update with pictures this weekend stay tuned.

Hooray! So happy for you guys!
Don't worry, that surreal feeling is COMPLETELY normal. It definitely took several days for Monkey to feel OURS....even giving birth to him, lol!
