Westyn is AMAZING!!!!

Last night was our first night with little Westyn with us and it was interesting...let's say that mom & dad had a harder time than Baby Westyn did. We were paranoid about checking on him to make sure he is ok...kind of makes for a long night and no sleep!!! He is eating like a champ for being such a little guy :). Although we have to wake him up every 3 hours to feed him he eats 30 ml in around 15 minutes, which is insane from the last couple days. I think now that he is not in the hospital we can try to figure out what works for us and it sure has worked. He is using Preemie nipples on the bottles because he is so small and seems to have a gag reflex to long nipples right now. He has had no signs of jaundice and everything was awesome when we left the hospital. On Sunday night (before he started eating well) he had only lost 1 ounce which is awesome, so tomorrow when we take him to the Pediatrician and he weighs him we will see if we are doing our job or not. He is already changing so much and we love him more than words can say. It sounds the waiting period for legal termination will take affect tomorrow morning which means then he is "officially" ours forever :) :) :)!!! Idaho & Washington's Adoption Compact Department has already received our documents and by the sound of things we should he heading towards home by the end of the week we are thinking Thursday or Friday. We know that the Grandparents, Siblings, Cousin Aubrey, Great-Grandparents, Aunt & Uncles are eager to see him. Our plan is to take him to see the parents and siblings the night we get home and then the next day venture to see Great-Grandparents and Aunts & Uncles. Since we are not "recovering" and he is such an easy baby we know visitors will be no problem...looking forward to seeing everyone!!
Side Note - If you are a mom who lives in Whatcom County and uses Enfamil Baby Formula we have lots of Newborn & Infant tubs for sale...Westyn seems to only like Similac right now...we would sell them for $10.00 each...we also have Costco Formula too. Please let us know if you would like to buy them from us...BKMulder@hotmail.com.

Yay! I've been watching for an update! I am pretty jealous that your termination comes so FAST! Our birthmom's rights weren't terminated until he was about 6 weeks old and the adoption wasn't finalized until he was 4-1/2 months. ENJOY every minute and do try to sleep! I know it's hard. Hang in there!

Congrats!!!! We are so excited for you and your new journey. The boys will love meeting Westyn. Both of our boys were that small when they were born...but very alert & full of energy...maybe it's a Wemp thing :) It's so cliche, but it does go fast. Enjoy those sweet, precious newborn moments.
