Ok so that title probably sounds kind of funny...you are probably asking why "parent proofing". Well I will explain...so last weekend we set out with the task of purchasing everything we would need to baby proof our house. Don't get me wrong we would have done this anyway, but due to our Home Study coming (probably May)...we needed to start this process so it would not sneak up on us...This past weekend we started the process of installing everything we would need to baby proof...this included outlet covers, kitchen & bathroom cupboard latches, move low shelves in closets up & of course purchasing a Fire Extinguisher.
Now we did not realize when they say "baby proof" they also mean "parent proof". I cannot believe how hard it is for us to even get in the cupboards. We have both been going to each cupboard trying to open the door and low & behold there is a latch keeping us out. We are starting to get used to them but man those things really work...better safe than sorry though :)

You are going to be so ready when baby gets here! I can't believe all of the hoops you have to jump through in order to bring him/her home. How exciting though! Great post on Easter too, I enjoy your blog Kari! Happy Easter!

It takes some getting used to, but eventually you remember that you can't just yank a cupboard open. I'm just warning you though...Monkey has already broke two of the cupboard latches...and he laughed. Yeah. =)
